Admissions Requirements

The Technion American Medical School is available to qualified U.S. and Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Our program in the Technion Faculty of Medicine offers an opportunity for students to pursue an M.D. educational program with a curriculum and course of study patterned after U.S. medical schools. Equal consideration is given to all applications from qualified applicants without regard to sex, religion, age, race, color, national origin, sexual orientation or physical handicap, within the meaning of applicable federal and state laws. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

To be eligible for admission, students must:

  1. Receive a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school by August of the year they seek to enter the Technion American Medical School.
  2. Completed a high school or university degree outside of Israel.
  3. Have taken the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) of the American College Testing Service. The GAMSAT will be considered.

Required Documentation

Please attach the following documentation to your online application:

  1. Passport Size Photograph (2 x 2 inches or 51 x 51 mm in size), no larger than 500 KByte.Citizens of Israel must have dual citizenship with another country and present both passports.
  2. MCAT Score.
    1. overall average score 500 and above and 125 in each section. MCAT must be within 4 years of application. We must receive the official score report with the AAMC verification code.
    1. GPA: B average or above in most courses

    NOTE: Transcripts and letters of recommendation may be e-mailed by the institution or letter writers to the Admissions Office, mdteams@technion.ac.il , forwarded via an electronic service (like VirtualEvals, or Interfolio) or mailed to the address below in a signed and sealed envelope.

    Additional Information

    To help the Admissions Committee assess the maturity and commitment of the applicants, we have provided space on the application form to describe interests, employment experiences and extracurricular activities.

    Reapplying

    The Technion American Medical School will accept applications from previously unsuccessful candidates if there is additional information for the Admissions Committee to assess.

    Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

    Application Fee

    A non-refundable application fee of $80 is required before an application is processed. Payment must be made via Tranzilla.     Selection

    The Admissions Office evaluates applications after all supporting documents have been received. We carefully review applications from a comprehensive perspective, taking into account:
